America's alternative liquid fuels resources are the
largest in the world, rivaling total global conventional
oil resources. Using state-of-the-art,
environmentally friendly technologies, these vast
domestic resources can be economically converted into
clean liquid fuels to displace foreign oil.
The American Energy Security Summit will present the
most comprehensive plan known for our nation to reduce,
and ultimately eliminate, its costly and risky dependence
on imported oil.
-
Join us to
gain a clear understanding of this groundbreaking
plan.
-
Learn about
the tremendous economic development opportunities
that are emerging for the states and the nation.
-
Understand the
great risks and costs to America of importing 60% of
our oil requirements and see how this liability can
be transformed into opportunity for all.
-
Discover investment
opportunities for the private and public sectors in alternative domestic liquids fuels.
-
Learn how coal can be converted into very high quality,
ultra-clean fuels at competitive prices.
-
Discover
bio-technologies that are emerging to supplement
grain-based ethanol and biodiesel production on a
large scale.
-
See how our
vast resources of oil shale are being developed in
the West.
-
Learn how
carbon dioxide can be economically captured from
alternative fuels plants and applied to produce
substantial volumes of domestic oil that will help
replace imported oil and will also reduce CO2 emissions.
-
Hear how
the growth of oil-rich algae is being enhanced with
carbon dioxide and then made into biodiesel fuel.
-
Show your support for state
and federal incentives and policies that can "jump
start" new domestic alternative transportation fuels
production.
-
Network with
governors, U.S. and state senators and
representatives, and leaders and experts from
industry, government, and academia.
-
Promote your
organization's products and services at a Summit
exhibit table.
-
Learn about the
historic Declaration of Energy Independence document
that has been circulated to the governors of all the
50 States by West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin, and
has already been signed by 9 governors. We are
hopeful that more governors will sign this
Declaration at the Summit.
-
Support our
host, West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin, and others
leading the call for American energy security and
independence.
The Summit offers you the chance to gain a clearer
picture from our expert panels of how you, your state,
and the nation can capitalize on the tremendous and
diverse opportunities that exist in the exciting new
fields of alternative domestic fuels production.
Join us to help build national and state momentum for
the domestic production of alternative liquid
transportation fuels from coal, biomass, oil shale, and
enhanced oil recovery with CO2.
